Played the year and on the day Allardyce was appointed. Got on sky sports news too. Being able to run out to bubbles was incredible. Big thanks to MPI for getting me in and also Savin my arse that year too

Wasn't that Guinness shandy? As you say he actually made decent contact and his shape was good.

left a dent on landing though.

Wondering if we wore the AVCO a few years running?

Happy days

Think we won it the following year with Leigh Jim and a few of his mates iirc.

Got told off by Alvin Martin afterwards for taking too long to get changed afterwards.

Was always a great day out, like the WHO a side.

I did the same thing at Carrow Road which BK organised and that was a good day out as well.

Made my debut for West Ham at the age of 53 in the charity match against Great Ormond St at Upton Park.

That was my boots in the bin moment.

Re: WHO football at the Boleyn
Considering some teams brought their Sunday teams en masse and we were strangers who didn't play regularly we usually did quite well.

Got to win it with Leigh Jims WHO team, prevented Frank from scoring in the last game with a double save (he called me a fucking lucky bastard)

Retired on the spot. Haven't played since.
